Senior Web Developer

Charlie is a lead software engineer with a passion for software excellence and project success. He has a proven track record of successfully leading projects ranging from weeks to months in duration, and is just as happy serving as a supportive team member. Charlie applied his foundation in Agile enterprise Java development to other platforms and technologies, including .NET/C#/MVC, PHP, Groovy, C and Shell, in both enterprise and web applications. Though his preferred sphere is backend server and web services development, he works on the front-end as well, including Angular, JavaScript, JQuery/HTML/CSS, Kendo Grids, Razor. He has conducted numerous training events and client coaching in best practices, especially unit testing. Charlie combined his love of software and hobby of chess into a published article "Five Principles from Chess That Can Change Your Software Game.” Charlie is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in Math and Computer Science.

Childhood aspiration: 

Once I discovered software in high school, I knew I had found my life's work.

Choice vacation: 

Mountains, pick any, e.g. Colorado, Montana, etc.

Dream-about meal: 
BBQ, especially Memphis dry rub ribs (The Patio does a nice job of them), brisket (Weber Grill has an awesome brisket sandwich, hold the sauce), or whatever I am smoking myself.
Favorite at-work moment: 
Producing excellent software with a team that enjoys each other.
