Following a busy award season, HS2 Solutions is named a Top Places to Work by Crain's Chicago Business.
When I’m not keeping the office running like a well-oiled machine, I’m also a comedic actress who specializes in theater, public speaking, and sketch comedy.
HS2 celebrates the receipt of the Chicago Tribune's 2017 Top Work Places award. This is the second consecutive year for winning the paper's prestigious callout, recognizing the best companies to work for in the Chicagoland area. Award winners are credited with having dynamic, supportive, and inclusive company cultures.  
The tech industry is known for offering high-profile perks to its employees. The Silicon Valley model of dangling bigger and more robust freebies is not simply a tactic to lure employees directly from the competition (although I’m sure it doesn’t hurt). If the perks are designed correctly, no matter which industry you service, these little extras can work in big ways to increase workplace productivity.
I was recently perusing the new books section at my local library when something caught my eye:  Deep Work by Professor Cal Newport. My initial interest in the book was that it promised to teach me about the impact of social networking and digital media on our society, brain health, and the social and developmental health of our children.
